Sergio arrives in the Netherlands with his Barcelona crew—family and friends—to cheer on his soccer team. And just as he’s about to head home, standing at the airport entrance, he decides on a whim to stay. He sets out to find a job, a place to live, and new friends. An introvert prone to anxiety, Sergio tries to build a new life for himself, for no apparent reason. Against the backdrop of the economic crisis of the early 2000s, in the heart of a xenophobic society marked by toxic masculinity, the journey he embarks on becomes a matter of survival.
An intimate story, carried by a brilliant actor. A subtle journey of self-discovery, inspired by the director’s personal experience, who delivers a striking, naturalistic debut feature film.

Sergio débarque aux Pays-Bas avec sa tribu barcelonaise, famille et amis, pour supporter son équipe de football. Et au moment de rentrer, au seuil de l’aéroport, dans une impulsion irrationnelle, il décide de rester. Il va chercher un travail, un logement, de nouveaux amis. Introverti, sujet aux angoisses, Sergio tente de se créer une nouvelle vie, sans raison apparente. Dans le contexte de crise économique du début des années 2000, au coeur d’une société xénophobe, à la masculinité toxique, l’aventure qu’il entreprend devient une question de survie.
Un récit intimiste, porté par un brillant acteur. Une subtile découverte de soi, inspirée de l’expérience personnelle du réalisateur qui signe un premier long-métrage naturaliste et marquant.
