Cycle "Meetings for reflection and action": The prince and the salmon
"Facing up to the environmental emergency: meetings to reflect and act": Food, responsibilities and sustainability.
The result of a unique collaboration between Geneva-based artist Myriam Boucris of the Tohu Wa Bohu company and Alaskan Ts'msyen artists Gavin Hudson and David R. Boxley, this discovery tour offers your children the opportunity to experience, through dance and sound, a tale that evokes the relationship between the Ts'msyen and the Salmon people and reminds us of our responsibility towards the natural resources we consume.
In this first 'Rendezvous for Reflection and Action' we look at the issue of food. Throughout the world, the cultures and practices of indigenous peoples are based on maintaining good relations with the various elements that make up the ecosystem and on the sustainable use of resources. The principle of responsible natural resource management that they uphold is increasingly reflected in global environmental action. This principle is also essential in the management of food, to combat waste and promote a better distribution of food. By drawing on indigenous food systems and traditional knowledge we can adopt sustainable alternatives and act here and now to protect our environment.
The activity is reserved for children from 2 to 5 years old accompanied by an adult.
The activity will take place twice during the day, once from 10am to 11am and then from 11.15am to 12.15pm.
