During this "Rendezvous for reflection and action" we will look at the themes of transmission and know-how, always in relation to questions of sustainability. The transmission of knowledge and know-how from generation to generation is an essential and crucial aspect of environmental preservation.

Often, this knowledge and know-how is closely linked to particular knowledge that concerns the environment, as is the case with knowledge and know-how concerning navigation, as we can see with the work of J-Ph. Mayerat in boat building on Lake Geneva.

Jean-Philippe Mayerat builds wooden boats, he does not like plastic. This contemplative sailor based in Rolle perpetuates traditional Lake Geneva navigation and passes on his know-how to the next generation.

Knowing one's environment, knowing how to name it, is also knowing how to respect it as best as possible to allow it to renew itself.
During this day, we will discover how this knowledge and know-how are transmitted in certain indigenous peoples but also here and now, thanks in particular to the voice of J-Ph. Mayerat.

This event takes place on the first Sunday of the month and is therefore free of charge and requires no prior registration.
