The collaboration between Christoph Irniger and Marc Perrenoud is a unique blend of creative energy and musical virtuosity. Both have their roots in jazz and are accomplished instrumentalists with brilliant artistry. As a duo, they bring together in a fresh and original way the creative energies of two musicians and composers recognized on the international jazz scene.
Perrenoud and Irniger released their first recording for Unit Records in the spring of 2026. The music is a fascinating blend of original compositions and innovative reinterpretations of jazz standards, with the musicians giving free rein to their creativity to break away from conventional patterns. The changes and melodies intertwine, stimulate, motivate, and inspire one another, developing a symbiotic life all their own, reflecting the intuitions of Irniger and Perrenoud.
The two musicians have known and appreciated each other for a long time and decided to perform as a duo for the first time in 2022.
