Imagined by Brigitte Luciani and Eve Tharlet, the youth series Monsieur Blaireau and Madame Renarde is a great success: prescription by the National Education for cycle 2 reading, fifteen foreign editions, an adaptation to the theatre and a television series. Volume 4 of the series, Jamais tranquille is crowned in Blois with the Ligue de l'enseignement 41 award for young audiences in 2011.
In parallel with the classic adventures of Monsieur Blaireau and Madame Renard, there is a second thematic series La famille Blaireau-Renard . The exhibition features illustrations from the two albums Les émotions and Les arbres.
Brigitte Luciani was born in 1966 in Hanover. As a German mother and Hungarian father, she soon discovered the pleasure of sailing between two cultures. After a childhood immersed in reading, she left for Munich, where she obtained a master’s degree in literature. In 2006 she created with Eve Tharlet the youth series Monsieur Blaireau and Madame Renarde at Dargaud. She is currently working with Claire le Meil on a BD-report, initiated by bd BOUM, on the MARPA (Maison d'Accueil et de Résidence pour l'Autonomie).
Born in Alsace, Eve Tharlet grew up in Germany. She is immersed in a double German-French culture, discovering at the same time the adventures of Wilhelm Busch’s Max und Moritz and those of Tintin d'Hergé. Among her many achievements, she draws the famous stories of Lapin Fenouil at Nordsud, a series imagined by Brigitte Weninger.
