Independent film in the spotlight in Bordeaux

From romance to thriller, comedy to drama, FIFIB explores all the nooks and crannies of independent cinema through the stories of directors from Mexico, Hong Kong, Italy and France. With almost 30,000 festival-goers at each new edition, and always prestigious guests, the FIFIB defends the creative freedom and innovation of independent cinema worldwide.
Three competitions are offered to the public during the festival:

• International Feature Film Competition
• French Short Film Competition
• Contraband Competition (self-produced films made outside the conventional production model)

The FIFIB also features previews in the presence of the film teams, residencies, meetings and workshops, not to mention the Nuits, which combine concerts, parties, games and screenings...
