Built in 1522, it houses the old museum of the Archaeological Committee (former name of the SHAS) from 1927 to 1982. With Renaissance facades with very assertive Gothic persistances, you will have the opportunity to admire: gargoyles, a hexagonal turret, a statue of the Virgin restored or a facade in brick and stone. Its originality allowed it to enter the classification of Historical Monuments in 1987.

About the location

Hôtel du Haubergier
20 rue du Haubergier - 60300 Senlis
  • Oise
  • Hauts-de-France
The building(ship) was built in 1522 under Henry II by Regnault de Bonvilliers, fairground provost of Senlis. This building of the XVIth century, of time(period) Renaissance, contains in the sequencing(order to pay) of its facades, Gothic very asserted(affirmed) persistence. Of roughly rectangular plan, with a turret of staircase out of work in the South, it shows, above several levels of vaults, traditional in Senlis, three floors separated by sculpted headbands(banners). The rehabilitation of the garden with the arrangement(development) of the court(yard) laid with cobblestones and of the terrace were realised in May, 2000.
