Kollektive und zeitgenössische Hommage an den palästinensischen Dichter Mahmoud Darwich (1941-2008), eine bedeutende Figur der arabischen und universellen Poesie.
Seit 2020 organisiert das Centre Pompidou jedes Jahr einen "Poetry Day", der einer bemerkenswerten und emblematischen Figur der Poesie gewidmet ist.
Im Jahr 2026, im Einklang mit der aktuellen Tragödie in Gaza, hat sich das Centre Pompidou mit dem Institut du monde arabe zusammengetan, um den palästinensischen Dichter Mahmoud Darwich zu ehren. Mahmoud Darwich, der wohl meistgelesene und am weitesten übersetzte arabische Dichter, gilt als eine der unverzichtbaren Stimmen der zeitgenössischen Lyrik in der arabischen Welt. Tief von der palästinensischen Sache geprägt, verbindet sein Werk das Intime mit dem Politischen, indem es die wiederkehrenden Motive des Geburtslandes, der Mutter, der Identität und des Exils erforscht.
In Paris wird die IMA ein Programm mit Konzerten, Lesungen, Konferenzen, Ausstellungen und literarischen Begegnungen veranstalten. Anderswo werden etwa dreißig Partnerorte in Frankreich und international diese poetische Figur übernehmen, um je nach künstlerischer Identität ein eigenes Programm anzubieten.

Collective and contemporary tribute to the Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwich (1941–2008), a major figure in Arabic and universal poetry.
Since 2020, the Centre Pompidou organises an annual "Poetry Day", dedicated to a remarkable and emblematic figure of poetry.
In 2026, in response to the ongoing tragedy in Gaza, the Centre Pompidou joins forces with the Institut du monde arabe to honor the Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish. Probably the most widely read and translated Arab poet, Mahmoud Darwish is recognized as one of the essential voices of contemporary poetry in the Arab world. Deeply marked by the Palestinian cause, his work mixes intimacy and politics by exploring recurring themes of native land, mother, identity and exile.
In Paris, the IMA will host a program of concerts, readings, conferences, exhibitions and literary meetings. Elsewhere, about thirty partner venues in France and abroad will take up this poetic figure to propose, each according to its artistic identity, their own programming.

Dal 2020, il Centre Pompidou organizza ogni anno un "Poetry Day", dedicato a una figura notevole e emblematica della poesia.
Nel 2026, in sintonia con la tragedia che si sta svolgendo a Gaza, il Centre Pompidou collabora con l'Institut du monde arabe per onorare il poeta palestinese Mahmoud Darwich. Probabilmente il poeta arabo più letto e ampiamente tradotto, Mahmoud Darwich è riconosciuto come una delle voci più importanti della poesia contemporanea del mondo arabo. Profondamente segnata dalla causa palestinese, la sua opera mescola l'intimo e il politico esplorando i motivi ricorrenti della terra natale, della madre, dell'identità e dell'esilio.
A Parigi, l'IMA ospiterà un programma composto da concerti, letture, conferenze, esposizioni e incontri letterari. Inoltre, una trentina di luoghi partner in Francia e a livello internazionale si approcceranno di questa figura poetica per proporre, ciascuno secondo la propria identità artistica, una programmazione propria.

En 2026, en résonance avec la tragédie qui se déroule actuellement à Gaza, le Centre Pompidou s'associe à l'Institut du monde arabe pour mettre à l'honneur le poète palestinien Mahmoud Darwich. Probablement le poète arabe le plus lu et le plus largement traduit, Mahmoud Darwich est reconnu comme l’une des voix incontournables de la poésie contemporaine du monde arabe. Profondément marquée par la cause palestinienne, son œuvre mêle l’intime et le politique en explorant les motifs récurrents de la terre natale, de la mère, de l’identité et de l’exil.
À Paris, l’IMA accueillera un programme composé de concerts, lectures, conférences, expositions et rencontres littéraires. Ailleurs, une trentaine de lieux partenaires en France et à l’international s’empareront de cette figure poétique pour proposer, chacun selon son identité artistique, une programmation propre.

En 2026, en consonancia con la tragedia que se desarrolla actualmente en Gaza, el Centro Pompidou se une al Instituto del Mundo Árabe para homenajear al poeta palestino Mahmoud Darwich. Probablemente el poeta árabe más leído y ampliamente traducido, Mahmoud Darwich es reconocido como una de las voces ineludibles de la poesía contemporánea del mundo árabe. Profundamente marcada por la causa palestina, su obra mezcla lo íntimo y lo político al explorar los motivos recurrentes de la tierra natal, de la madre, de la identidad y del exilio.
En París, el IMA acogerá un programa compuesto de conciertos, lecturas, conferencias, exposiciones y encuentros literarios. Además, una treintena de lugares asociados en Francia y en el extranjero se apoderarán de esta figura poética para proponer, cada uno según su identidad artística, una programación propia.
