Alea Jacarandas

De Hassen Ferhani
Documentary | 78’ | Algeria, France | 2026
In the presence of director Hassen Ferhani
In Algiers, a writer undertakes a poetic cartography of jacaranda trees, purple-blooming trees from Latin America. His filmmaker son follows him in this intimate stroll where the father’s stories draw a dictionary of love for the city. Their intertwining looks make up the story of a transmission.
