Discover the Baguette de Bois factory, industrial wasteland in reconversion, with Florian Grollimund, in charge of studies inventory of the heritage of the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park.

The factory intrigues in the landscape south of the village of Saint-Front-la-Rivière, industrial wasteland between Dronne and limestone hillsides. Built in 1960, it is an annex of the Parisian company La Baguette de Bois, an institution known in artistic and museum circles for its frame production. The Périgourdine factory will manufacture them for 40 years for the Louvre museums or the Drouot sales hall. The site is recently being rehabilitated to accommodate artisans. This new destiny partly answers the questions raised by industrial heritage without activity and the interest of preserving its architectural envelope. Here, a vast reinforced concrete hall of 1100m² is to be discovered.
