On the occasion of the National Day of Tribute to the Harkis, the City of Villeneuve d'Ascq invites you to participate in a commemorative ceremony on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 6 p.m.
This ceremony will take place in the square des Anciens Combattants of Flers-Breucq, at the corner of avenue de Paris and rue Babylone. It will be an opportunity to pay tribute to the Harkis and to perpetuate the duty of remembrance.
Programme:
- Reading the ministerial message;
- Speech by Mr. Sylvain Estager, Mayor of Villeneuve d'Ascq;
- Laying of wreaths.
At the end of the ceremony, participants are invited to a moment of conviviality during a reception organized in the Dardenne room.

À l'occasion de la Journée nationale d'hommage aux Harkis, la Ville de Villeneuve d'Ascq vous invite à participer à une cérémonie commémorative le vendredi 25 septembre 2026 à 18h.
Cette cérémonie se déroulera au square des Anciens Combattants de Flers-Breucq, à l'angle de l'avenue de Paris et de la rue Babylone. Elle sera l'occasion de rendre hommage aux Harkis et de perpétuer le devoir de mémoire.
Programme :
- Lecture du message ministériel ;
- Prise de parole de M. Sylvain Estager, Maire de Villeneuve d'Ascq ;
- Dépôt de gerbes.
À l'issue de la cérémonie, les participants sont conviés à un moment de convivialité lors d'une réception organisée à la salle Dardenne.

Deze ceremonie vindt plaats op het plein des Anciens Combattants in Flers-Breucq, op de hoek van Avenue de Paris en Rue Babylone. Het zal een gelegenheid zijn om hulde te brengen aan de Harkis en om de herdenkingsplicht te handhaven.
Programma:
- Het lezen van de ministeriële boodschap;
- Toespraak door de heer Sylvain Estager, burgemeester van Villeneuve d'Ascq;
- Het leggen van kransen.
Aan het einde van de ceremonie worden deelnemers uitgenodigd voor een moment van gezelligheid tijdens een receptie georganiseerd in de Dardenne zaal.
