Björn Gottschall entwickelt ein einzigartiges Konzertformat zwischen neoklassizistischer Musik, Improvisation und In-situ-Performance. Als reisender Pianist entwarf er ein leichtes und mobiles akustisches Instrument, das er mit dem Fahrrad oder an unerwarteten Orten wie Gärten, Stränden, Wäldern, städtischen Brachflächen, öffentlichen Plätzen oder alltäglichen Zwischenräumen bewegt.
Sein Solo-Klavier ist als immersives Erlebnis gedacht. Jeder Veranstaltungsort wird zum Partner: Licht, Umgebungsgeräusche, das Wetter oder die Anwesenheit der Zuschauer beeinflussen den Aufbau des Konzerts. Björn komponiert augenblicklich aus kurzen Motiven und klaren Strukturen, die er als bewegte Sprache entwickelt.
Seine Musik, zugänglich und zart, versucht eine poetische Ausrede zu schaffen, weit entfernt von den starren Codes des traditionellen Konzerts. Björn Gottschall develops a singular concert format, between neo-classical music, improvisation and in situ performance. A travelling pianist, he has designed a lightweight and mobile acoustic instrument that can be moved by bike or through unexpected places: gardens, beaches, forests, urban wastelands, public squares or interstices of daily life.
His solo piano is thought of as an immersive experience. Each place becomes a partner: light, ambient sounds, weather or the passage of spectators influence the construction of the concert. Björn composes on the moment, from short motifs and clear structures that he develops as a moving language.
His music, accessible and delicate, seeks to create a poetic parenthesis, far from the fixed codes of traditional concert.
