Villa Visconti Borromeo Litta has over the centuries been a favorite holiday resort for many noble families. Property of the Municipality of Lainate since 1970, today you can admire the frescoed rooms of the '500 and '700, the Italian Gardens, the eighteenth-century fountains of Galatea and Neptune and the Historical Park. But the real surprise is the Nymphaeum, building of the late '500, a cool place of great charm and suggestion that, precisely for the richness of decorations and games and jokes of water, is considered the most important and significant example of northern Italy.
