On the occasion of Rendez-vous aux jardins 2024, we offer several guided tours:

  • Friday 31 May and Saturday 1 June at 5pm;
  • Sunday 2 June at 10:30 am for the thematic visit «Le petit peuple des mares». Departures will take place in front of the town hall of Avallon, 37 Grande rue Aristide Briand. Free tours «Open doors» will also be offered Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June from 14h to 17h30. Go directly to the gardens, Malos alley (follow signs from the city center).

For 35 years, the association «Traverses» rehabilitates and maintains 2,500 m² of terraced gardens in Avallon (south of the Yonne) ensuring the balance of ecosystems. These gardens are located at the foot of the ramparts of the old town. Following a path along many narrow paths and stairs, you will enjoy this corner of nature full of charm. Flowers, medicinal plants, trees, walls, ponds, ponds, insects . . . await you. During the guided tour, you will also discover the practices of agroecology and permaculture.
