Arboretum de la Hutte - Vallée de l'Ourche

This arboretum, created in 1874, contains some remarkable tree specimens. Many species, giant redwoods, Virginia tulips, among others, both local and outside the region, are intertwined along the discovery trails. We meet there some centenarian individuals of imposing dimensions, which classify them among the remarkable trees of the department of Vosges. This arboretum is home to a variety of species that we can classify into two families: those common to this environment that we find in many places in the Darney Forest Massif and specific species that originated their introduction from the outside in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. In both cases, it is the size of the subjects concerned that will give them the status of remarkable tree.
It is important to note that it is a forested arboretum and not a park arboretum. Sculptures shaped in the rock give it an additional appeal.
