To combine sports and the discovery of cultural places, the public is invited to a hike between five places in the valley of culture. Accompanied by a sports educator, the route starts at the Tour aux Figures and the île saint-Germain with an introduction to Nordic walking, to join Sèvres – manufacture and museum where they will discover the Galerie des Savoir-Faire. After a rest time to picnic, participants discover the national domain of Saint-Cloud, then the Albert-Kahn Departmental Museum and its garden and then finish the hike with the visit of the GoodPlanet Foundation.

This garden perpetuates the work of the patron banker Albert Kahn (1860-1940) on his former property in Boulogne. In this 4-hectare site, Albert Kahn has combined the most contrasting plant compositions, in the image of his project: a world in peace where peoples coexist in perfect harmony. The French garden and the rose garden bear the mark of the famous landscaper Achille Duchêne. The blue forest, the marsh and the golden forest border the meadow, coloured like an impressionist painting. The Vosges forest, evoking the native landscape of the banker, adjoins the English garden, punctuated by picturesque pavilions. The Japanese garden reflects Albert Kahn’s affinities with this country. In 1990, a contemporary Japanese garden was created. This modern work pays tribute to the life and work of Albert Kahn.
