At 10h and 16h30, Muriel Vernières invites you to a literary walk.
«These little cooking secrets make you happy» The garden of Eugenie offers us its secrets: delicate crops and picking, gifts and delicacies in all seasons. Let’s discover them through his Journal and his letters, during a walk in the Cayla.
The 4:30 pm walk will be followed by a voice-over of the text Notre Vallée by Julie Aminthe and the restitution of the dance workshop with Jason Respilieux proposed by the ADDA du Tarn at the Cayla castle-museum.

Around the typical old home of the Languedoc of two writers of the Romantic period, Eugénie (1805-1848) and his brother Maurice (1810-1839) de Guérin for whom nature was a source of inspiration, public park of 27 ha classified as remarkable sites and intimate, timeless. Its paths of which a poetic promote daydreaming and strolling. Vegetable garden and orchard set up in 2020 with fruit species and legumes of the time. Statue of the Centaur, sculpted by André Abbal in 1943 in reference to the eponymous major poem of Maurice de Guérin. Now owned by the Department, the castle-museum, labeled «Musée de France», testifies to the lifestyle in the 19th century and the literary tradition of this family in the Romantic period. This place of memory and history is also today a source of inspiration for contemporary artists.
