As part of the New Worlds artistic program, the Centre des monuments nationaux presents the work I remember Laurent Pernot at the Domaine national de Saint-Cloud.
Imagined for the domain, I remember is a sculpture of letters in natural stone of Haims, material whose temporality is similar to that of the surrounding nature of the park and the former castle of the estate.
Laurent Pernot proposes here, through the use of words, an experience of thinking about our relationship to time and memory. Several interpretations of the work are possible. It can evoke the submergence in oblivion of the past of the former princely residence, or prefigure what will happen to the human in the future.

The lower park extends all along the Seine, below the terrace of the castle, from the bridge of Saint-Cloud to the bridge of Sèvres. One can admire the large waterfall, whose upper part is spread over nearly 90 meters in length, a learned composition of the seventeenth century, due to Antoine Le Pautre and later enlarged by Jules Hardouin-Mansart, and the large nearby stream that rises to more than 30 meters high. They are valuable evidence of traditional fontainier techniques. The main park was partly cut by the railway line under Louis-Philippe and then by the highway in the late 1930s. It has essentially preserved the layout o
