"Appuntamento in Giardino" is an initiative proposed by APGI - Associazione Parchi e Giardini d'Italia. The event, designed as an authentic garden festival, was born in accordance with the initiative "Rendez-vous aux jardins", which will take place simultaneously in many European countries. Sunday, June 2 Villa del Balbianello in Tremezzina (CO) offers a special guided tour dedicated to the garden, brought back by Guido Monzino to its original splendour in the mid-seventies thanks to the collaboration with the landscape architect Emilio Trabella (1948-2019). The visit leads to the discovery of tree species and topiary art in Balbianello: a unique opportunity to learn about the secrets of the plants shaped by the art of the park, such as the great holm-oak potato "umbrella" by the tree-gardenersclimbers or the ficus repens that wraps the columns of the Loggia Durini. Visits by the Gelso del Làvedo Cooperative. For lovers of creativity and nature, in the park will be held a special demonstration of landscape painting. The local artist Sabrina Morganti, inspired by the panorama of the Lario or a glimpse of the garden, will illustrate the technique of watercolor, explain the secrets and, meanwhile, tell curiosities and stories related to the territory.
