The Douëra is an Orientalist house of Mozarabic inspiration that contains three rooms with decor inspired by the Orient. Its appearance as a small mosque in Cairo was the wish of the painter and archaeologist Charles Cournault (1815-1904), a student of Delacroix who travelled to Algeria around 1840\. The garden is characteristic of the ornamental gardens of bourgeois residences of the nineteenth century. Enjoying a rich and varied landscape heritage, it is criss-crossed by several paths like picturesque gardens.
