Humus is a miracle!

Let’s listen to the insects and greet the earthworms!

After Germinations in 2023, "Cahors Juin Jardins" continues to be interested in the origin of the living with its theme Humus Miraculum in 2024.
In the forest, humus is the top layer of soil, created, maintained and modified by the decomposition of organic matter. Source of fertility and balance for gardens, humus is the result of a complex interaction between living things, minerals, plants, fauna and fungi! It expresses the relationship between man and nature but should we not say the symbiosis?
The Cahors Juin jardins 2024 festival invites artists and speakers invited as part of the 19th edition, to share their sensitivity to nature, biodiversity, the earth, the elements by telling us about their research through several artistic creations, round tables, performances, film screening and a walk in the gardens.
In Cahors, it should be known, there are twenty remarkable secret gardens labeled, twenty private gardens open and animated during the festival on June 1 and 2 thanks to the kindness and generosity of the owners, Citizen vegetable gardens and creative in the neighborhoods of Cahors and landscape gardens on the territory created in a sustainable development approach with the support of a landscape designer Alice Freytet and a mediator of the transition Carole Clément.
We invite you to visit the village "Cahors Juin Jardins", on the Fénelon alleys of Cahors, to offer you walks, workshops, performances, catering spaces.
