As part of «Rendez-vous aux jardins 2024: Les 5 sens au jardin» the Villa Vauban will welcome musicians Ana Carpisassi and Gerard Mejias Novoa.

Ana Carpisassi (flute) and Gerard Mejias Novoa (guitar) both took their first steps in music at a young age. Well guided by their teachers Päivi Kauffmann (flute) and Sergi Vicente and Maite Rubio (guitar), both decided to fully commit themselves to becoming professional musicians: Ana is currently preparing her degree in «music teaching» at Uni.lu and simultaneously studying in first year of bachelor’s degree at the Conservatorium Maastricht (NL) under the direction of Valerie Debaele. Gerard Mejias Novoa, after obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Barcelona, will complete his master’s degree in June 2024 in classical guitar under the direction of maestro Carlo Marchione, also at the Conservatorium Maastricht (NL).
Both have worked in music education, teaching their instruments, playing in various projects, orchestras and participating in many masterclasses, and are happy to perform for the first time in duet in Luxembourg.
