The gardens of the castle of Arthaudière are classified as "Historic Monument" since 1991\. The feature of the gardens of Arthaudière is to be registered in a square plan, closes walls, completely exceptional shape of gardens in France since they know only the gardens of Verneuil on Oise which were drawn by Androuet du Cerceau between 1576 and 1579\. This type(chap) of garden was realised under the artistic influence come of Italy towards Lyonnais(inhabitant of Lyon), in the XVIth century. Other singularity, we find here 2 axes, 1 north / south axis and 1 ouest/est, converging axis every 2 towards the splendid panorama of Vercors.
