On 2 June 2024 Villa Valmarana ai Nani, famous for the extraordinary cycle of frescoes by Giambattista Tiepolo and his son Giandomenico, participates in the initiative organized by APGI-Associazione Parchi e Giardini d'Italia: "Appuntamento in giardino" with special guided tours of the frescoed rooms of Palazzina and Foresteria and the historic park adjacent to the Scuderia della Villa. The event "Appuntamento in Giardino" was born in accordance with the initiative Rendez-vous aux jardins, which will take place on 1 and 2 June 2024, simultaneously in over 20 European countries. The event aims to invite the general public to discover the amazing historical, artistic, botanical and landscape richness of the Italian gardens. The participation, desired by the Agreements signed with the Territorial Superintendences, may also be an opportunity to present the PNRR projects, raising awareness of the issues of restoration and care of historic gardens. Leading visitors for visits to the interior of the Villa there will be expert connoisseurs of the Villa that will illustrate the magnificent frescoes of Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo. Next, in the speech entitled "Between Palladio and Tiepolo to discover large trees and secret spaces of the forest of Villa Valmarana to dwarfs"the expert of parks and gardens Silvia Lignana Bellandi will dwell instead on essences and architectural particularities in the front garden and in the historic forest. At the end of the walks a glass of prosecco will be served under the nineteenth century Pagoda. The event will also take place in case of rain; in this case the glass will be served on the porch.

Villa Valmarana ai Nani consists of three buildings located in a large period park. The Palazzina (1669), the Foresteria and the Scuderia (1720) are surrounded by rose gardens, an Italian garden with the fifth stage and the well, a carpinata. The Palazzina and the Foresteria are frescoed by Giambattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo, called in 1757 by the owner, Giustino Valmarana. The Villa takes its name from the statues of the 17 stone dwarfs, once scattered in the garden, now arranged on the boundary wall that surrounds the property. They are linked to the evocative legend of Princess Layana. It is assumed that the real performer of the Dwarfs is Francesco Uliaco and the inspirer Giandomenico Tiepolo. The Valmarana family still lives in the Villa, which is universally considered the expressive peak of eighteenth-century painting and the highest testimony of the genius of Tiepolo.
