Also known as the 1,001 Flower Garden, the Fontaine Garden is full of plants, some of which you may have never seen before.
Harm van Duin and Jay-Henry Kester have been working there since the 1990s.
On the occasion of the Rendez-vous aux jardins 2024, discover a beautiful pond and a «temple» completing this little paradise, hidden behind a typical Brionnaise house.
Note: a pass for the whole weekend at 12 € allows you to enjoy 2 gardens in addition to the Jardin de la Fontaine:

  • the garden of the Château de Vaulx (Saint-Julien-de-Civry);
  • the tea garden in the garden (Saint-Julien-de-Civry).
    The 3 sites are located in Saint-Julien-de-Civry.

About the location

Le jardin de la Fontaine
Le Bourg, 71800 Saint Julien-de-Civry
  • Saône-et-Loire
  • Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
Located in the heart of the beautiful village of Saint Julien-en-Civry , the garden of the Fountain was born twice... as soon as the acquisition of the house, in 1994, its owners bought and planted but the time of the holidays ended, the garden became wild again. Since 2007, this holiday garden has become a garden in their image. The rather formal structure of the garden was like that of the French gardens and deliberately, grass and boxwood gave way to abundant plantations, more flexible and informal...some boxwood were allowed to grow more freely in order to highlight the unexpected compositions of perennials, annuals, bulbs and grasses among which some herbs called "weeds" have right to the city in order to offer a changing and poetic garden within the framework of the old building...
