Széchenyi Zsigmond Hungarian Hunting Museum of the Carpathian Basin
The Széchenyi Zsigmond Hungarian Hunting Museum of the Carpathian Basin, situated in the Grassalkovich Palace, and opened in 2014, awaits its visitors with modern, interactive features. The permanent exhibition tells the story of hunting, the presents the wild and fish species of the Carpathian Basin and their habitats, and introduces us to the artefacts of the hunting culture and ancient gastronomy. The personal items in the room dedicated to the memory of Count Zsigmond Széchenyi provide a glimpse into the exciting life of our hunter writer who served mother nature.
In addition to the permanent exhibition, we await our visitors with:
• temporary exhibitions
• programmes for professionals and families
• museum education workshops, and
• a gift shop
• café
• and function rooms for hire.
