Gallo-Roman city, former administrative and cultural capital of Couserans, former bishopric (77 bishops succeeded each other) the village of Saint-Lizier and its Gallo-Roman ramparts are a heritage to discover. Home to the Bishop’s Palace, the Church of Notre-Dame de la Sède, the Cathedral of Saint-Lizier, the Romanesque cloister that constitutes the treasure of the Bishops and the Pharmacy of the Hôtel-Dieu; the village offers you entry into its history. These five monuments are inscribed on the World Heritage of Humanity (UNESCO), under the Way of Santiago de Compostela.
