If vegetarianism has a history as old as humanity, it is on British soil that it has flourished the most in recent centuries making the United Kingdom today one of the most vegetarian countries in the world. Come and discover this wonderful story through the collections of the castle, before strolling in the gardens with Juliette Vincent, naturopath, to discover edible plants.

Small jewel of the heritage of the Department of Pas-de-Calais, the castle of Hardelot dominates the nature reserve of the swamp of Condette. Discover this atypical place dedicated to the incredible history(story) of the relations between France and Great Britain. From summer, 2014, roam in the landscaped gardens where the spaces of greenery tell in their own way the relations of love and disenchantments between both countries. Cross(spend) the medieval ramparts and be allowed be a surprise by the unique(only) architecture of this castle, testimony built by these cross-border links which shaped the place as all the Côte d’Opale. Once door was crossed(spent), you will discover the decoration(set) recreated as a house of the XIXth century. In the dining room of victorian style, John Whitley's apartments up to the office(departmental staff) of curiosity of abbot Bouly, every room(part,play) tells the story of the castle interlaced in that of the relations between France and Great Britain, William the Conqueror in today. (Current(In class) Arrangements(Developments) to be discovered on the visits " compulsory Helmet use " - Inauguration summer, 2014) In the course of the year, the medieval spring, the Midsummer Festival, the Summer Season, without forgetting Fairy Night, create the event by their cultural and artistic proposals. At night of the museums of the Castle of Hardelot is organized in partnership with the Castle of Boulogne-sur-Mer.
