The joy of living and creating and the charm of Emma Pieters basketry will undoubtedly add to the attractions of the «visit with the 5 senses and in the good sense» to which invites A philosopher garden. Sunday, June 2 - and only on Sunday! - she will be in the orchard to demonstrate her know-how.

Emma makes various decorative and utilitarian objects in basketry. She also creates custom or repairs borders of gardens.The branches of willows of the region are the raw material of her young company anchored in the Alsatian territory and eco-responsible.

Located 35 km from Strasbourg, at the edge of the medieval enclosure of the small town of Boersch and at the foot of Mont Sainte-Odile, this private garden of one hectare, labeled Remarkable Garden, is part of a rich historical and landscaped context. It was built in the 19th century as a pleasure garden and became the cradle of the Spindler family of artists. Its current owners, Catherine and Erwin Kern, are working to restore it by highlighting its shady enclosures, its bright orchard, its cascading stream, and to make it evolve around small shimmering follies, of a white lady... They conceive of his visit as an initiation to the spirit of the place, to the art and philosophy of the gardens, but also as an encounter: a walk enriched by moments of reading and exchanges. During national events (Fête de la Nature, Rendez-vous aux jardins, European Heritage Days), scenography, exhibitions and musical programs are provided by artists and volunteer members of the association La Terre est b
