The communal rose garden of Chaumont-Gistoux was born out of the paradoxical project of bringing the queen of flowers to life in the midst of native weeds and plants .

The Roseraie consists mainly of botanical roses, old or with a natural habit, often with single flowering. It also houses a collection of roses created locally by a passionate and adapted to our terroir and still marketed today . The rose garden is managed by a collective citizen who organizes monthly restoration sites, with the support of the services of the municipality . Proposed Event: • Guided tour at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5, 2022

Created in an old orchard in the immediate vicinity of the town hall, the rose garden presents a collection of roses in equilibrium with their natural environment. A large majority of plants are botanical roses, or non-climbing bush roses whose generous bloom in June fills the space of colors and fragrances.
