The lime trees of the Wallanlage Gardelegen
In this playful and informative event, pupils are not only introduced to the historical significance of the lime trees.

Conditions
All schools in the Hanseatic city of Gardelegen can register, various topics are addressed in groups of max. 15 participants and presented on site at "Unter den Linden" in the Wallanlage.

On the guided tour, bark, buds, flowers and leaves are examined and many tree inhabitants are observed. Pupils should learn about life under the bark, the importance of "trees in climate change" and establish sponsorships for the lime trees in the rampart. In small groups the skin of the tree, the buds, blossoms and leaves are examined, its inhabitants are searched for and stories are told about angels and elves in the lime tree. Lime blossom tea, lime blossom jam and biscuits will be tasted and the importance of lime for insects, bees and humans will be explained - and the question why bumble bees have to die under lime trees will be answered!
All pupils of the special schools are cordially invited.
