The European Metropolis of Lille is associated with the Impressionist Spring which celebrates the 150 years of the first «impressionist exhibition» presented in Paris in 1874.
The Archives of the MEL conducted the investigation in the archives they preserve: they discovered that two major exhibitions had already been devoted to representatives of this artistic movement in the museums of the Lille metropolis.
