Das Projekt
In Vincennes ist dieses neue Gebäude mit Holzrahmen mit einer Ziegelverkleidung ausgestattet, ein Dialog zwischen biobasierter Struktur und klassischer städtischer Materialität. Im Inneren bleibt der CLT-Boden sichtbar und bestätigt die Präsenz von Holz auch in den Wohnräumen. Das Dachgeschoss vereint Schiefer und Zink, während die Holzschreinereien eine kohärente Hülle vom Rohbau bis zu den Oberflächen vervollständigen.
Das Unternehmen
Die Firma Herminette wurde nach dem ersten Werkzeug des Tischlers benannt. Die in Mesopotamien erfunden Herminette ist ein Holzbearbeitungswerkzeug, das der Form einer Axt ähnelt und insbesondere das Ausrichten (oder Zuschneiden) von Holz ermöglicht. Dieses Werkzeug wurde schon immer für den Bau von Gerüsten verwendet und spielte eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Entwicklung von Bautechniken zu komplexeren Modellen. An der Grenze zwischen Tradition und Innovation symbolisiert die Herminette die Werte, die das Unternehmen vermitteln möchte: handwerkliche Exzellenz, Leidenschaft für Holz und ein Engagement für nachhaltige Baulösungen.

The project
In Vincennes, this new wooden building is dressed with a brick facing, a dialogue between bio-based structure and classic urban materiality. Inside, the CLT floor remains visible, affirming the presence of wood even in living spaces. The mansard roof combines slate and zinc, while wood joinery completes a coherent envelope, from the shell to the finishes.
The company
The company Herminette takes its name from the carpenter’s first tool. Invented in Mesopotamia, the adze is a woodworking tool that resembles the shape of an axe and notably makes it possible to square (or prune) wood. Historically, this tool has been used to build structures and has played a crucial role in the evolution of construction techniques towards more elaborate models. On the border between tradition and innovation, the adze symbolizes the values that the company Herminette wishes to convey: artisanal excellence, passion for wood and a commitment to sustainable construction solutions.

Il progetto
A Vincennes, questo nuovo edificio con ossatura in legno si veste di un rivestimento in mattoni, un dialogo tra struttura biobased e materialità urbana classica. All'interno, il pavimento in CLT rimane evidente, affermando la presenza del legno anche negli spazi abitativi. Il tetto mansardato combina ardesia e zinco, mentre i serramenti in legno completano un involucro coerente, dalla struttura alle finiture.
L'azienda
L'azienda Herminette prende il nome dal primo strumento del falegname. Inventata in Mesopotamia, l'erminetta è uno strumento di lavorazione del legno che si avvicina alla forma di un'ascia e permette in particolare di squadrare (o tagliare) il legno. Questo strumento è sempre stato utilizzato per costruire strutture e ha svolto un ruolo cruciale nell'evoluzione delle tecniche di costruzione verso modelli più elaborati. Al confine tra tradizione e innovazione, l'Herminette simboleggia i valori che l'azienda Herminette vuole trasmettere: eccellenza artigianale, passione per il legno e impegno verso soluzioni costruttive sostenibili.

El proyecto
En Vincennes, este nuevo edificio de estructura de madera se viste con un revestimiento de ladrillo, un diálogo entre la estructura biobasada y la materialidad urbana clásica. En el interior, el suelo de CLT sigue siendo visible, afirmando la presencia de la madera incluso en los espacios de vida. El techo del ático combina pizarra y zinc, mientras que las carpinterías de madera complementan una envolvente coherente, desde la parte principal hasta los acabados.
La empresa
La empresa Herminette toma su nombre de la primera herramienta del carpintero. Inventada en Mesopotamia, la herminete es una herramienta de trabajo de la madera que se aproxima a la forma de un hacha y permite, en particular, ecuarrar (o recortar) la madera. Desde siempre, esta herramienta se ha utilizado para construir estructuras y ha desempeñado un papel crucial en la evolución de las técnicas de construcción hacia modelos más elaborados. En la frontera entre tradición e innovación, el herminet simboliza los valores que desea transmitir la empresa Herminette: la excelencia artesanal, la pasión por la madera y un compromiso con soluciones de construcción sostenibles.
