Das von den Ursulinen, einem Frauenorden, der sich um die Erziehung junger Menschen kümmerte, gegründete Gebäude wurde im 19. Jahrhundert zu einem technischen Gymnasium. Im 20. Jahrhundert wurde hier die Stadtbibliothek und dann das Konservatorium errichtet, das zum kulturellen Zentrum Jean-Jaurès wurde. Das Konservatorium von Nevers ist eine auf Musik, Tanz und Theater spezialisierte künstlerische Bildungseinrichtung, die fast 800 Schüler aufnimmt und wöchentlich etwa 600 Kinder in den Schulen von Nevers unterrichtet. In diesem Jahr feiert das Konservatorium sein hundertjähriges Bestehen. Zu diesem Anlass zeigt eine Ausstellung in den Fluren die großen Momente seiner Geschichte anhand von Archiven, Fotografien und historischen Dokumenten.

Building founded by the Ursulines, an order of women who took care of the education of young people, the convent became in the 19th century a technical high school. It was a 20th century when the municipal library and then the conservatory were installed, which became the Jean-Jaurès cultural center as we know it. The conservatory of Nevers is an artistic educational institution specializing in music, dance and theater, welcoming nearly 800 students while offering weekly interventions to about 600 children in the schools of Nevers. This year, the Conservatory celebrates its centenary. On this occasion, an exhibition presented in its corridors retraces the great moments of its history through archives, photographs and period documents.

Edificio fondato dalle Ursuline, un ordine di donne che si occupava dell'educazione dei giovani, il convento è diventato nel XIX secolo un liceo tecnico. È nel XX secolo che vi si installa la biblioteca comunale e poi il conservatorio che diventa il centro culturale Jean-Jaurès che conosciamo. Il conservatorio di Nevers è un istituto d'insegnamento artistico specializzato in musica, danza e teatro, che accoglie circa 800 allievi offrendo interventi settimanali a circa 600 bambini nelle scuole di Nevers. Quest'anno il conservatorio celebra il suo centenario. In questa occasione, una mostra presentata nei suoi corridoi ripercorre i grandi momenti della sua storia attraverso archivi, fotografie e documenti d'epoca.

C'est un 20e siècle qu'on y installe la bibliothèque municipale puis le conservatoire qui devient le centre culturel Jean-Jaurès que nous connaissons. Le conservatoire de Nevers est un établissement d’enseignement artistique spécialisé en musique, danse et théâtre, accueillant près de 800 élèves tout en offrant des interventions hebdomadaires à environ 600 enfants dans les écoles de Nevers. Cette année, le Conservatoire célèbre son centenaire. À cette occasion, une exposition présentée dans ses couloirs retrace les grands moments de son histoire à travers des archives, des photographies et des documents d'époque.
