Nur wenige Monate vor dem Beginn einer wichtigen Renovierungsarbeit können Sie das Kongresszentrum von Parthenay betreten und dieses emblematische Gebäude aus den 1970er Jahren, das als bemerkenswerte zeitgenössische Architektur ausgezeichnet ist, auf eine andere Weise entdecken.
Das 1970 erbaute Palais des congrès zeugt von einer besonders erfinderischen Epoche der französischen Architektur. Sein architektonisches Interesse wurde 2015 offiziell anerkannt, als er das Gütesiegel Bemerkenswerte zeitgenössische Architektur erhielt. Ab 2027 wird das Gebäude mit dem Beginn der Arbeiten zur tiefgreifenden Umstrukturierung seiner Räume und insbesondere zur Errichtung eines Kinos in eine neue Phase seiner Geschichte eintreten.
Diese Besichtigungen, die kurz vor dieser Umgestaltung organisiert wurden, bieten eine einmalige Gelegenheit, den Kongresspalast in seiner aktuellen Konfiguration zu entdecken. Der Rundgang wird ein besseres Verständnis seiner Geschichte, seiner architektonischen Vorurteile und seiner Funktionsweise ermöglichen, aber auch ausnahmsweise Zugang zu bestimmten Kulissen bieten, die normalerweise wenig oder nicht öffentlich zugänglich sind.
Der Besuch wird auch einen Blick in die Zukunft des Gebäudes ermöglichen. Die Teilnehmer können die wichtigsten Ausrichtungen des Umstrukturierungsprojekts kennenlernen und die Herausforderungen verstehen, die mit der Umgestaltung eines Gebäudes verbunden sind, das das Gütesiegel Bemerkenswerte zeitgenössische Architektur trägt: Wie kann man ein Gebäude aus den 1970er Jahren an neue Nutzungen anpassen und gleichzeitig die architektonische Einzigartigkeit bewahren?
Die Besonderheit dieses Besuchs liegt auch in seinem mehrstimmigen Ansatz. Architekten, Fachleute des Kulturerbes, Kulturverantwortliche und Akteure, die den Kongresspalast täglich zum Leben erwecken, werden ihre Blicke auf das Gebäude richten. Jean Richer, Architekt der Bâtiments de France des Deux-Sèvres, Alexandra Sagary, Architektin der Compagnie architecture, Christelle Pineau, Leiterin des Dienstes für kulturelle Entwicklung der Stadt Parthenay, Sylvain Constant, Intendant des Palais des congrès, und Emilie Biraud, Projektleiterin des Pays d'art et d'histoire de Parthenay-Gâtine, werden jeweils ihr Licht auf seine Architektur, seine Nutzungen und sein Schicksal werfen.

A few months before the start of an important restructuring project, push open the doors of the Palais des congrès de Parthenay and discover this emblematic building from the 1970s, labeled as "Remarkable Contemporary Architecture".
Built in 1970, the Palais des congrès bears witness to a particularly inventive period of French architecture. Its architectural interest was officially recognized in 2015 by the attribution of the label "Remarkable Contemporary Architecture". From 2027, the building will enter a new phase of its history with the launch of work intended to deeply restructure its spaces and in particular to allow the installation of a cinema.
Organized just before this transformation, these visits offer a privileged opportunity to discover the Palais des congrès in its current configuration. The tour will provide a better understanding of its history, its architectural features and how it works, as well as exceptional access to some behind-the-scenes areas that are usually little or not open to the public.
The visit will also allow us to project ourselves into the future of the building. Participants will be able to discover the main directions of the restructuring project and understand the issues related to the transformation of a building benefiting from the Outstanding Contemporary Architecture label: How to adapt a 1970s building to new uses while preserving what makes its architectural uniqueness?
The particularity of this visit also lies in its approach to several voices. Architects, heritage professionals, cultural managers and actors who make the Palais des congrès live daily will meet their eyes on the building. Jean Richer, architect of the Bâtiments de France des Deux-Sèvres, Alexandra Sagary, architect of the Compagnie architecture, Christelle Pineau, head of the cultural development department of the city of Parthenay, Sylvain Constant, manager of the Palais des congrès, and Emilie Biraud, project manager of the Pays d'art et d'histoire de Parthenay-Gâtine, will each provide their insight into its architecture, uses, and future.
The visits will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Each visit lasts about 1 hour.

Costruito nel 1970, il Palais des congrès testimonia un periodo particolarmente creativo dell'architettura francese. Il suo interesse architettonico è stato ufficialmente riconosciuto nel 2015 con l'assegnazione del marchio Architecture contemporaine remarquable. A partire dal 2027, l'edificio entrerà in una nuova fase della sua storia con il lancio di lavori destinati a ristrutturare profondamente i suoi spazi e consentire in particolare l'installazione di un cinema.
Organizzate poco prima di questa trasformazione, queste visite offrono un'occasione privilegiata per scoprire il Palais des congrès nella sua configurazione attuale. Il percorso permetterà di comprendere meglio la sua storia, le sue parti prese architettoniche e il suo funzionamento, ma anche di accedere eccezionalmente a certi retroscena solitamente poco o non aperti al pubblico.
La visita permetterà anche di proiettarsi nel futuro dell'edificio. I partecipanti potranno scoprire le grandi linee del progetto di ristrutturazione e comprendere le sfide legate alla trasformazione di un edificio che beneficia dell'etichetta Architettura contemporanea notevole: come adattare un edificio degli anni '70 a nuovi usi, preservando ciò che lo rende unico?

Architetti, professionisti del patrimonio, responsabili culturali e attori che fanno vivere quotidianamente il Palais des congrès incroceranno i loro sguardi sull'edificio. Construit en 1970, le Palais des congrès témoigne d’une période particulièrement inventive de l’architecture française. Son intérêt architectural a été officiellement reconnu en 2015 par l’attribution du label Architecture contemporaine remarquable. À partir de 2027, le bâtiment entrera dans une nouvelle phase de son histoire avec le lancement de travaux destinés à restructurer profondément ses espaces et à permettre notamment l’installation d’un cinéma.
Organisées juste avant cette transformation, ces visites offrent ainsi une occasion privilégiée de découvrir le Palais des congrès dans sa configuration actuelle. Le parcours permettra de mieux comprendre son histoire, ses partis pris architecturaux et son fonctionnement, mais aussi d’accéder exceptionnellement à certaines coulisses habituellement peu ou pas ouvertes au public.
La visite permettra également de se projeter dans l’avenir du bâtiment. Les participants pourront découvrir les grandes orientations du projet de restructuration et comprendre les enjeux liés à la transformation d’un édifice bénéficiant du label Architecture contemporaine remarquable : comment adapter un bâtiment des années 1970 à de nouveaux usages tout en préservant ce qui fait sa singularité architecturale ?
