TOTEM2Rue is the first young audience piece by Olivier Lefrançois, a first-generation hip hop dancer. An interactive journey through a natural and musical sound universe composed live by a musician, computer scientist from elsewhere, in which a passerby, bewitched, moves, mixes materials and finds animal gestures. A kind of incantation, an ancestral ritual dedicated to Totem animals, the songs challenge us on the symbolism of animals through the ages and cultures.
I was born a spider looking to create links between beings. Then I became a chameleon looking to blend in. I feel like a lone wolf calling my pack by gathering in front of the moon and flying eagle to dive effectively on my goal. I had to become a bear to set the limits necessary for my development. Today I am monkey, free, continuing to evolve without taking into account the point of view of the visitors...»
