The NIFFF (Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival) returns to La julienne between March and May 2024 for a third edition. The only festival in Switzerland dedicated to this cinematographic genre, it invites you to discover productions from the four corners of the globe. Whether they are science fiction films, thrillers or comedies, imaginary characters or ectoplasms, immerse yourself in the strange world of contemporary fantasy cinema.

“River” by Junta Yamaguchi: from 12 years old (Japan, 2023, 86’)

Summary: In the peaceful region of Kyoto lies the century-old Fujiya Inn. While standing facing the Kibune River at the back of the store, an employee is called back to work by the boss. However, two minutes later, there she suddenly reappears at the foot of the watercourse. The fault is a time loop which seems to affect the entire inn. New exhilarating immersion in the chrono-labyrinths of the director of “Beyond The Infinite Two Minutes” (screened at La julienne in 2023).
