Immersive installation “Poetry of the Earth”

Maya Rochat presents a new immersive installation, continuing her research and production cycle, Poetry of the Earth, which began in 2023 and has been exhibited at venues including the MEP - Maison Européenne de la Photographie (Poetry of the Earth, 2023) and Photo Elysée (Water is Coming, 2024).
At the heart of this work, a new projection system accompanies a video accompanied by a sound composition, immersing the visitor in a total sensory and visual experience. In this series, the artist explores a dialogue between photographs and videos of natural elements (water, light, wind) combined with abstract paintings created in the studio or during painting performances*. These images respond to one another and reveal the organic connections that unite them.

Maya Rochat présente une nouvelle installation immersive, dans la continuité du cycle de recherche et de production Poetry of the Earth initié en 2023, et exposé notamment à la MEP - Maison Européenne de la Photographie (Poetry of the Earth, 2023) et à Photo Elysée (Water is coming, 2024).
Au cœur de cette proposition, un nouveau dispositif de projection accompagne une vidéo portée par une composition sonore, plongeant le visiteur dans une expérience sensorielle et visuelle totale. Dans cette série, l’artiste explore un dialogue entre photographies et vidéos d’éléments naturels (l’eau, la lumière, le vent) mélangées avec des peintures abstraites réalisées à l’atelier ou lors de painting performances*. Ces images se répondent et révèlent les liens organiques qui les unissent.
* Peinture réalisée en direct devant un public.
