Exhibition: “Traces of passage”
Opening reception on Tuesday March 26, from 6 p.m. Free entry.
Architecture and urban planning guide our movements, determine our social interactions and shape our perception of the world. Spaces dedicated to specific functions influence our gestures depending on their design and encourage or not meetings. This second exhibition on the cycle of "gesture" brings together two young artists graduated from HEAD in Geneva.
Yvan Alvarez is inspired by our urban planning, diverting it through a work of photography, installation and sculpture, creating confrontations with based on everyday objects.
Zahrasadat Hakim is a visual artist whose works are often linked to real or imaginary spaces. Her personal experience, as well as the different places she has lived, have shaped the way she looks at the world. She works with mediums such as ceramics, painting, textiles and installation.
The two artists share a common interest in the arrangement of our common spaces and question the way in which we use them, as well as the traces that we let us leave or keep our way.
Free access to the exhibition, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (excluding public holidays). Additional openings Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
