With Finnish conductor Eva Ollikainen, soprano Anu Komsi and Lionel Cottet, principal cello of the OSR, this concert invites audiences to discover the soundscapes and imagination of Finland. From the contemporary poetry of Kaija Saariaho to the Nordic legends of Jean Sibelius, these works immerse us in the mystery and beauty of the vast boreal forests.
Echoing these visions from the North, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6, Pathétique, reveals an emotional journey between passionate outbursts and profound fragility.

La cheffe finlandaise Eva Ollikainen, en compagnie de la soprano Anu Komsi et du violoncelliste Lionel Cottet, premier soliste de l’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, invite à découvrir les paysages sonores et l’imaginaire de la Finlande. De la poésie contemporaine de Kaija Saariaho aux légendes nordiques de Jean Sibelius, le mystérieux et la beauté des grandes forêts boréales se révèlent au fil du programme.
En écho à ces visions venues du Nord, la Symphonie N° 6 de Tchaïkovski, Pathétique, révèle une tourmente émotionnelle, entre élans passionnés et fragilité.
