From March 6 to June 27, 2027, come discover the exhibition
An artistic movement born in 1848 as a reaction to Victorian academic art, Pre-Raphaelitism was long written in the masculine. This exhibition reveals the central role of the women artists who shaped it, through painting, photography and textile arts, from its origins to 1914.
The exhibition benefits from the exceptional support of the Musée d'Orsay, the Bibliothèque Nationale de France and the Archives Signac.
Commissariat — Pamela Gerrish Nunn, art historian
Exhibition designed in close collaboration with the Mapfre Foundation, Madrid, where it will be on view from September 22, 2026, to January 11, 2027
