35 All. Jules Guesde, 31000 Toulouse, France
Convent built at the beginning of the 17th century. The first mass was celebrated there in 1623\. In 1806, the church becomes a parish and is slightly transformed to be adapted to its new function. The sanctuary was enlarged from the sacristy. The latter was installed first in a room behind the sanctuary and then, when this room was taken for the installation of the orangery in the plant garden, the sacristy occupied the old chapel of the Child Jesus. In 1820, the convent and cloister became a medical school and then, in 1861, a natural history museum. The plan presents a single nave with side chapels and a flat chevet. The novelty lies in the decor where painting plays an important role. Under the choir, a brick crypt arched in basket handle presents a north wall pierced with fourteen niches on two levels. Three galleries of the ancient cloister remain. A false gallery was built to the north.
