On the occasion of the Night of Museums and the temporary exhibition The mine makes its cinema, the festive atmosphere of the 7th art awaits you at the Mining Historical Center!
Throughout the evening, attend different screenings proposed by La Bulle enchantée, which revives 16 and 35 mm films. The specific clattering of the old-fashioned projectors will inevitably bring back memories to many people.
Films from the Centre’s archives, produced by the Houillères from 1947 to the 1980s, will be screened on the screen. As for the different rooms of the museum, they will be animated soundtracks of these films, to which contributed famous composers commissioned by the Collieries. Vintage commentary will bring a slice of the Mining Basin’s history to life.
A former industrial site, the Delloye pit has long been a popular filming location. The first and final students of the Cinema-AudioVisuel option of the Arthur Rimbaud high school in Sin-le-Noble invest each year the museum and its galleries to realize their study projects. Take a seat in the screening room to discover a selection of these short films and then vote for your favorite movie!
And to ensure that the evening remains unforgettable, a photo studio with accessories, miner’s outfit, helmet, peak, lamp, boa, bow tie and sequins will be available so that everyone can take themselves for a miner or the star of an evening.
Chip shop and foodtruck for small appetites (continuous service).
