Discover our friendships with Australia since the Battle of Villers-Bretonneux on April 25, 1918 and the First World War, through the collection of the Franco-Australian museum located in the Victoria school.

In addition to an ordinary visit, you can take a guided tour of 11 objects, using your smartphone or the typed cards offered at the reception. You will discover particular aspects of World War I, from the Dead Penny to the Bon Dart, as well as the story of General Monash or Captain Jacka, unknown to the French public.

The Franco-Australian Museum presents, through the richness of the collection of the Franco-Australian association, the ties uniting Villers-Bretonneux with Australia ever since the First World War and the night of 24-25 April 1918 when the Australian army stopped the German advance at Villers-Bretonneux. Using not only personal object but also archive images and moving testimonies of friendship, this unprecedented history of war, memory and future is told through a museographical journey divided into 4 sections (a Place of Memory and Commemoration, Memories of War, a National Memory and Town Memories).
