Inauguration and presentation of the project La classe l'œuvre autour du Vase à la Carpe by Émile Gallé
Students from 3 primary school classes in Lemberg, Montbronn and Soucht and 3 6th class classes at Lemberg’s La Paraison College have discovered Emile Gallé’s Carpe Vase, a flagship work of the Meisenthal Glass Museum. This work is the starting point for exchanges and joint work with artists. Each plastic artist worked with a primary and a middle school class: the artist Thomas REBISCHUNG worked with the primary school of Montbronn and the 6th A of Lemberg to create frescoes representing chimeric animals; Mélodie MESLET introduced her research on ceramics and photography to the students of the elementary school of Soucht and the 6th B of Lemberg; the illustrator and artist paper Elsa MROZIEWICZ worked the kirigami (Japanese art of paper cutting similar to popup illustrations) with the 6th C schoolchildren of Lemberg. Their work will be exhibited in the panoramic room, above the shop of the Site Verrier, as well as in the spaces of the museum.
