Exhibition-dossier «Daily and social life in Trojan hosiery»
Discover the daily and social life of the workers of Troy industry! This exhibition-folder allows visitors and families to enter the world of the cap-and-cap makers from the late 19th century to the 1930s. Through three costumes, follow Marceline the apprentice hosiery, she will accompany you throughout the visit to the museum of hosiery and will reveal the history of this textile industry.
A play booklet is available free of charge for children from 6 years. This professional project is led by Manon Dejeune and Diane Maussire, students in Master Heritage and Museum at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne, in partnership with the City of Troyes and the students of Terminale of the Bac Pro Métiers de la Mode-Vêtements (MMV) from the Lycée Professionnel Édouard Herriot de Sainte-Savine.
