Created in 1984 to build and disseminate an international-level collection, Frac Lorraine has largely opened its doors to the wider public since its installation in the historic heart of Metz: the Hotel St-Livier. Rehabilitated according to a formidable dialogue between past and present, heritage and creation, it is one of the oldest buildings in the city (its foundations date from the end of the 12th century). Resolutely bold and contemporary, this architectural project has made it possible to adapt this building to its new vocation. Not to mention its beautiful garden specially designed by Liliana Motta on the theme of medicinal plants! Under the name of 49 NORD 6 EST, this exceptional place makes it possible to initiate new artistic experiments.
