The Museum is located in the old inn where the heroic resistance action of fifty men of the Marine Infantry Division took place during the battles of Bazeilles on August 31 and September 1, 1870. Despite its renovation we have preserved the traces of this action, especially the piece immortalized by the famous painting of Alphonse de Neuville. Most of the objects present are from the battlefield as well as donations from the descendants of the military. It presents a general overview of the war as well as the battle of Sedan and the course of the fighting in the village.
