Cancelled | "Crystal clear, mineralogy of the Armoricain massif" - Exhibition of National Interest
The mineralogical heritage of the West of France is unique because of the age of its study and the variety of minerals discovered. The exhibition Clair comme du cristal, mineralogy of the Massif Armoricain presents, for the first time in its entirety, the exceptional minerals of the Great West, in particular of Brittany, the Pays de la Loire and Normandy.
These exceptional minerals come from the main French public and private collections, including the École des Mines ParisTech, the National Museum of Natural History, the museums of Nantes and Laval, the University of Rennes, from the House of Minerals in Crozon and a dozen private collections.
The results of four centuries of prospecting are thus presented, from historical minerals taken before the French Revolution to contemporary discoveries made by enthusiasts.
The exhibition has been awarded the National Exhibition of Interest label by the Ministry of Culture.
