Presented for the first time, 200 exceptional documents at the National Archives immerse us in the daily life of police work in the 18th century. One sees Rousseau declaring a theft of shirts, Sade protesting against his imprisonment and prostitutes under control! But we also discover letters of stamp, reports of spies, projects that draw another police, daughter of the Enlightenment.
